Later, on the night of May 6 and 7, New Delhi launched a series of air strikes on Pakistan, in response to which Pakistan launched Operation Banyan Marsus. On May 10, US President Donald Trump announced that a ceasefire had been reached between India and Pakistan. It is worth noting that in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry warned that any violation of the ceasefire by India would be met with a “swift and decisive response” from Pakistan, and warned that serious tensions between the two countries could lead to mutual destruction. , DG ISPR warned that war-mad India was preparing a ‘prescription of mutual destruction’, adding that the world was now recognizing the nuclear threat.

Lt Gen Chaudhry added that ‘any country like America understands the folly and what the Indians are trying to do here.’
Talking about India’s actions in Kashmir, he accused India of trying to ‘internalize the issue of Kashmir and harass the people’ with a heavy military presence (in occupied Kashmir).
‘This is an issue that needs to be resolved by the Kashmiri people as per the UN Security Council resolution,’ DG ISPR said. ‘Anyone who tries to violate our territorial integrity and sovereignty, our response will be befitting.’ DG ISPR warns that ‘serious tensions between India and Pakistan will destroy both countries’ under the concept of ‘mutual assured destruction’

Mutual assured destruction or MAD is a principle of military strategy and national security policy that holds that the use of nuclear weapons in a war between two nuclear-armed countries would destroy both countries.

In a press conference held last week after the ceasefire, DG ISPR had warned that the conflict between Islamabad and New Delhi could ‘pose a threat to over 1.6 billion people’. DG ISPR had added that ‘in fact, there is no scope for war between India and Pakistan. May 10 is the day of victory in the fight for truth, the day of the Al-Fath missile’s ‘Operation Banyan Marsus’. Operation ‘Banyan Marsus’ was launched against the enemy at dawn and Fateh-1 missiles were fired at India. Similarly, the Brahmos storage site in the Beas area was destroyed by Pakistani missiles, while the Pakistan Army also destroyed the airfield in Pathankot, and the training centers of the Indian military intelligence that carried out terrorism in Pakistan in Rajouri and Nowshera were also destroyed.
A video of the Pakistan Army targeting Pathankot with Fateh-1 and -2 missile systems during Operation Banyan Marsus against Indian aggression has come to light. Security sources say that the day of May 10 will always be remembered in Indian history. On May 10, the Pakistan Army, in addition to other weapons, carried out successful missile attacks on the Pathankot air base with Fateh-1 and -2.
The Pakistan Army’s Fateh-1 and -2 missile systems reduced important Indian installations to ashes. The Fateh-1 and -2 missile systems successfully targeted important enemy installations with great accuracy. Pakistan skillfully used Fateh 1 and Fateh 2 to inflict heavy losses on Indian military installations. India targeted 3 Pakistani airbases with missiles and drones on the night of February 10, after which Pakistan launched ‘Operation Banyan Marsus’ (Iron Wall) in response to Indian aggression in the early hours of the morning and destroyed several targets in India, including Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur airbases and several airfields, as well as the Brahmos storage site and the S-400 missile defense system. The targets were targeted from the airbases from which the people and mosques of Pakistan were targeted. It may be recalled that after the Pahalgam incident on April 22, 2025, India had started blaming Pakistan, after which the frosty relations between the two countries became tense. India had announced the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, restricted Pakistani diplomatic staff, while canceling the visas of Pakistanis in India and sending back all Pakistanis, including children, who were going for medical treatment. Later, India launched missile attacks on six places including Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, Bagh and Muzaffarabad on the night of February 6-7, resulting in 26 civilians being martyred and 46 injured. more.
