ISLAMABAD (Big Digit) The Hindutva ideology has been termed a major threat to peace by Pakistan’s Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar,
The Hindutva ideology of the Modi government is no longer just a conspiracy madness, but has become a political agenda based on lies, hatred and hooliganism. Hindutva goons are free under Modi’s rule, while the Indian people are only victims of hatred, violence and inhumane treatment.
In Modi’s rule, not only minorities but also the unprotected have become at the hands of Hindutva supporters. Modi’s India is no longer fair, Hindutva has become a battlefield of madness where the law is only a slave to the majority goons.
In Modi’s rule, Hindutva terrorists are free, truth-tellers are traitors, and goons are made ‘nationalist heroes’. It should be remembered that India has become a stronghold of Hindu extremism under the BJP government.
Hindutva is a political project aimed at creating a majority Hindu nation. Hindutva ideology is prevalent in India through organizations like BJP, RSS and Shiv Sena.
An Indian website has released an analysis of Azad Issa’s book on the similarities between Hindutva and Zionism. According to the book: Savarkar, the founder of Hindutva, declared Muslims as the Jews of India in 1939.
He wrote about the history of Hindutva and Zionism that; After World War I, the Zionist movement laid the foundation for the occupation of Palestine. Hindu nationalists supported both European fascism and Zionism. The common goal of Hindutva and Zionism is to erase the identity of “other religions” and create a single nation.
Hindutva and Zionism target minorities in the name of “two ancient civilizations”. The Modi government has praised the Jewish settlement and revocation of citizenship in Palestinian territories under Zionism.
The abrogation of Article 370 in occupied Kashmir and the registration of Hindu settlers are on the lines of the Israeli Nation State Law. Both countries are making black laws to deprive Muslim minorities of citizenship in Israel and India.
Bulldozing Muslim homes in the name of encroachment has become an Indian state policy during the BJP era. The Shiv Sena has launched a systematic campaign to evict Muslims from residential societies in Mumbai.
Muslims, especially Bengalis, are deprived of citizenship and voting rights under the NRC in Assam. BJP’s agenda is to gain votes by making anti-Muslim speeches during elections on the basis of Hindutva ideology.
Hindutva and Zionist ideologies have become a serious threat to the security of the region, the safety of Muslims and global integrity.
Attaullah Tarar, while calling the accusations against Pakistan in the Pahalgam incident baseless, has said that Hindutva ideology in India is a big threat to peace, India is being humiliated and Pakistan is being heard at the global level. Addressing the Policy Dialogue on Peace in South Asia organized by the Institute of Regional Studies in Islamabad, the Federal Information Minister said that the balance of power in South Asia has to be seen from a different angle. Pakistan is playing a vital role for peace in South Asia. He said that Hindutva ideology in India is a big threat to peace, India has made every effort to sabotage peace in South Asia, it is also supporting terrorists in Pakistan, baseless accusations were made against us for the Pahalgam incident, we asked the world to conduct an impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident and we presented our statement to the world at the diplomatic level. Pakistan is the country most affected by terrorism, we have made immense sacrifices in the war against terrorism, we are capable of giving a full response to all kinds of aggression, Pakistan’s desire for peace should never be considered as weakness. India is using water as a weapon, water is our survival, there will be no compromise on this, India’s unilateral suspension of the Indus Water Treaty is unacceptable. The Information Minister said that sustainable peace in the region is impossible without a solution to the Kashmir issue, after the struggle for justice, the Kashmir issue has revived at the global level, this issue should be resolved according to the resolutions of the Security Council. US President Trump has spoken of resolving the Kashmir issue, India’s humiliation and Pakistan’s hearing are being heard at the global level. The most important role in making Hindutva the center and axis of India’s national politics has been played by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is simultaneously the country’s most popular and controversial political leader. Narendra Modi belongs to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), but his political philosophy has been most influenced by the right-wing Hindu nationalist organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which was founded a hundred years ago. Modi joined the RSS in his youth. “We never thought we would get so much power,” says 76-year-old Ambalal Kushti, who brought him to the RSS in 1960. “We never thought we would get so much power.” After the communal tensions that arose after the partition of India, when Mahatma Gandhi was preaching Hindu-Muslim unity in India, the RSS had risen with full force a few decades ago with the slogan of a Hindu state or Hindu Rashtra. Mahatma Gandhi was shot dead by Nathuram Godse, a former RSS worker, in 1948. The political and spiritual training he received from the RSS has played a key role in the steps Narendra Modi has taken in the past ten years. During this period, India emerged as a global power, while hateful attacks against India’s minorities, especially Muslims, increased during his rule. Prime Minister Modi has greatly blurred the line between state and religion, while democracy in India is under threat due to increasing concerns from the media, political opponents and the courts. Modi, 74, has become Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. His friend who brought Prime Minister Narendra Modi into the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) says that we never thought that we would get so much power. Modi called his style of governance the ‘Gujarat model’ and paved the way for the Prime Ministership with this image of himself. Modi has made Hindu nationalism a popular political ideology in India. It should be noted that Hindutva is a term for an extreme form of Hindu nationalism. That is, a violent ideology of the supremacy of Hindu nationalism. Vinayak Damodar Surkar coined the term in 1923. The nationalist Hindu volunteer organizations Rashtriya Sevak Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and Hindu Sena took this ideology to its peak. Hindutva organizations have been criticized for their beliefs in their statements or methods. Hindu organizations, like other religious groups, claim that ancient Hindu scriptures contain many scientific facts. Modi has not only popularized Hindu nationalism in a country with a population of more than 1.4 billion, but has also used it to prolong his rule. This is happening in a country that was a society of different cultures and religions. While examining Modi’s strategy, it cannot be ignored that Modi has built his vote bank in a country with an 80 percent Hindu population. Modi’s biographer, author Nalanjan Mukherjee, says that Modi is 100 percent a product of the RSS and is fulfilling its objectives. Modi was born in 1950 into a backward community. He was first introduced to the RSS through the organization’s training camps, called ‘Shakhas’. The youth in these camps are also given religious education and physical training. Modi had become an active RSS worker by the 1970s and had started preaching for the RSS on his bicycle. The RSS was founded in 1925. According to the RSS, Indian civilization and Hinduism cannot be separated from each other, but its critics say that the RSS’s ideology consists of Hindu supremacy.
According to the program, the aim of this organization was to strengthen Hindus. Several sub-groups of the RSS have been formed. Its network includes student and farmer unions. Along with this, several private groups are also part of this network that have been accused of involvement in incidents of violence. This network derives its strength and legitimacy from the BJP, which itself emerged from the concerns of the RSS. There were many questions about the RSS connection of Gandhi’s assassin and its hatred of Muslims. Before Modi, the BJP did not have a majority in the Indian Parliament, but after Modi, the BJP was in a position to form a government on its own, which is an extraordinary achievement for the RSS. Modi’s first major political success came in 2001 when he became the Chief Minister of his home state of Gujarat. A few months later, anti-Muslim riots broke out in Gujarat, in which at least a thousand people died. These riots had the tacit support of Modi, who himself denies such allegations. India’s highest court has also acquitted him of these charges due to lack of evidence. Instead of damaging Narendra Modi’s political career due to the Gujarat riots, his political career gained new strength. Since then, Modi started paying more attention to Hindu nationalism and started using religious divisions for political gains. Due to the riots, the image of the state of Gujarat was badly damaged, so Modi not only developed close ties with big capitalists and gained their support, but also got big business groups to build factories in the state and presented it as a successful model through economic development and development. Modi gradually became an autocrat. He took all the power over the police and the legal system in his own hands. Modi called his style of governance the ‘Gujarat model’ and paved the way for the Prime Ministership with this image. Modi presented a practical model in the form of Gujarat to make Hindu nationalism a popular political ideology. He has now spread this model across India, his supporters see him as strong. He also has the full support of capitalists whose wealth has increased manifold during his rule. Modi has presented India as an alternative to China. Modi’s rise has played a decisive role in advancing the objectives of the RSS. In 2019, his government abolished the special status of Kashmir, the only Muslim-majority territory administered by India. It passed the controversial citizenship law, which decided to grant citizenship to people of other religions except Muslims who migrated to India. Modi inaugurated the construction of a Ram temple on the site of the Babri Masjid, a long-held dream of the RSS and millions of Hindus. The BJP insists that it works for the equal interests of all Indian citizens. Modi’s politics appeal to people who are presenting India as a Hindu country.
