The Senate session began under the chairmanship of Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani. Speaking in the Senate, Ishaq Dar said that after the Pahalgam incident, the Indian media started blaming Pakistan, but we responsibly stated that we had nothing to do with the Pahalgam incident and proved to the world that India had made a false statement. He said that after the sad incident in the tourist destination of Pahalgam in occupied Kashmir, we were in diplomatic contact with all countries on the Indian allegations and the whole world said that both countries should show patience.
He said that India lied on the night of May 7 that 15 places were attacked, they made these allegations to incite the Sikh community and then a new drama started that they started sending drones, about 80 drones were roaming in Pakistan.
Ishaq Dar said that foreign countries also admitted that Pakistan did not attack India’s Sikh place and no one flew F-16 before Pakistan, we attacked India both times to defend ourselves, while according to international law, we immediately responded to India.
He said that Pakistan forces were given authority to now implement Operation Phase 1 instead of patience, the armed forces were given a specific plan, which has been implemented.
Addressing India, he said that you have some responsibilities at the international forum, India has not yet issued any condemnation statement on the Jaffer Express.
The Foreign Minister said that we have completely closed Pakistan’s airspace for Indian flights and decided that we will respond to bricks with stones.
He said that after the Pahalgam incident, we offered an investigation and broke India’s narrative after the Pahalgam incident. The forces were alerted immediately after the Pahalgam incident, while the National Security Committee meeting on April 24 gave the forces the authority to respond.
And the 7th Ki Dan said that on the night between the 6th and 7th, 75 to 80 Indian aircraft were launched and they hit 24 payloads on 6 Pakistani locations, but all the places were not terrorist bases, they were mosques and houses of citizens.
He further said that that night we had given instructions to shoot down those who dropped the payload, there was also an instruction to shoot down those who entered Pakistani airspace, India claimed that that was all, Pakistan was done.
Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan has not made any request for ceasefire to anyone, the US Secretary of State contacted and told that India wants a ceasefire, we had done our calculations, so we showed our willingness.
He clarified that we want peace with honor and dignity, when we completed Operation Phase 1, it was said that India is ready to stop the war, it was said that a ceasefire was announced by Jaishankar.
He said that in this entire situation, India’s narrative was not made, the world saw what it said and it was proven, they fled within hours, Pakistan will not accept anyone’s supremacy, India was forced to hoist white flags at some posts, there were some posts that they had never left since 1947, they put up a white flag there.
He said that the talks between the DGMOs of both countries on May 10, that is, technically if we say that a ceasefire was agreed upon, it was first held until May 12, then until 14 and today there has been another talk which is now until 18.
The Deputy Prime Minister further said that now the matter will go to dialogue, there will be a political dialogue, all the issues will be discussed there, the Prime Minister has said that if there is a war, we are ready, if there is a talk, we are ready.
