Islamabad (Big Digit): District and Sessions Judge (West) and Consumer Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana has issued bailable arrest warrants for both parties in the Gandhara Nissan automobile case due to their absence during court proceedings.

The court was hearing a petition filed by Muhammad Saadullah Qureshi against the private automobile company Gandhara Nissan. The hearing initially took place on May 10, 2025, where the complainant was represented by advocate Tasawurain Sandhu, while advocate Ehtesham appeared on behalf of the respondent company. The court adjourned the case until May 17, 2025, for the cross-examination of witness PW-1.

During the May 17 hearing, although the lawyers of both sides were present, the cross-examination could not take place. The court then scheduled the next hearing for May 22, 2025. However, due to the presiding judge being on leave, the case was presented before the duty judge.

On May 22, the complainant Muhammad Saadullah Qureshi appeared in person, accompanied by his legal team, Muazzam Habib and Tasawurain Sandhu. However, no representative from Respondent No. 1 appeared in court, and only a junior lawyer appeared on behalf of Respondent No. 2. Neither the respondents nor their witnesses appeared for cross-examination.

The court expressed serious displeasure over the continued absence of both parties and deemed it a grave matter. Consequently, the court issued bailable arrest warrants against both parties and directed them to submit surety bonds worth Rs. 20,000 each. The case has been adjourned indefinitely.
