ISLAMABAD (Big Digit) Federal Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi, while announcing Rs. 5.2 million to the families of the martyrs in the Jafar Express Train tragedy and giving jobs in the railways to their children, has said that terrorists will not be spared whether they are hiding in Pakistan or fleeing to Afghanistan. Addressing his first press conference at the Railways Headquarters after assuming the portfolio of the Railways Ministry, Hanif Abbasi said that the attack on the Jafar Express Train has exposed Indian hostility, in which Afghanistan is also involved.
The Federal Railways Minister said that the national leadership will not spare any terrorist now. On the one hand, the nation is depressed by the Jafar Express tragedy, while on the other hand, a certain political party has spoken the same language that India used. Hanif Abbasi said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) brigade and the Indians have targeted the army over the train accident, Bilawal did not target Nawaz Sharif or Shahbaz Sharif, and did the PTI brigade not get crores and billions of rupees to target the army?
Hanif Abbasi said that the announcement of starting ML-1 was a big deal, he will start it with his own funds, run trains on time in the railway department, ensure cleanliness and transparency, and there will be no compromise on this. The Federal Minister for Railways said that he will not interfere in the railway police but will support them, the scale of the railway police has also been made equal to that of the Punjab police. He said that the railway stations will be upgraded, cameras at the stations and cargo will be upgraded, and just as the revenue from passenger trains has increased, he will also do cheap cargo. It should be noted that a resolution condemning the hijacking of the Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar by a banned organization was also unanimously passed in the National Assembly.
The resolution was presented in the National Assembly by Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, and the resolution was signed by members of all political parties, including the opposition. The text of the resolution strongly condemned the hijacking of the Jaffar Express and all acts of terrorism that endanger the lives of citizens and disrupt the peace of the country. It was said that the nation is determined to take all possible steps to eliminate terrorism. The resolution stated that no group or individual will be allowed to harm the peace, prosperity and sovereignty of the country, and that no fear, hatred or violence will be allowed to spread within the territorial boundaries of the country. Speaking in the National Assembly on the Jafar Express tragedy, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the PPP condemns all forms of terrorism. Pakistan and the PPP have suffered a lot due to terrorism.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif says that the biggest need at this time is national unity. The more unity and unity we have, the more courage and commitment the Pakistani armed forces will eliminate these terrorists as soon as possible. The entire nation is in mourning and sorrow over the Jafar Express incident. Such an incident has never happened before in the history of Pakistan. Addressing a meeting on law and order in Quetta, the Prime Minister said that today we have gathered on an occasion on which the entire nation is mourning.
Three days ago, terrorists in Bolan took hostage a train in which more than 400 Pakistanis were traveling. He said that they martyred unarmed Pakistanis and they did not realize the sanctity of Ramadan, they did not realize the children, the elderly and women, they took them out of the train in a very cruel way and made them sit in the field and such an incident has probably never happened before in the history of Pakistan. Shahbaz Sharif said that the way helpless and helpless passengers were sitting in this desert, who were going to celebrate Eid at their homes, there were also military personnel present, and after that the strategy adopted to deal with these terrorists had many dimensions.
He said that one was to save the lives of Pakistanis and also to eliminate the terrorists, where suicide bombers had surrounded them. We should all thank Allah Almighty that under the leadership of General Asim Munir and under the full patronage of Corps Commander Quetta and the units assigned for this work at all levels, ISI, MI, MO Directorate and the Zarar Company, which is prepared to send such people to hell. The Prime Minister said that as a result of the joint scheme they made, thank God, 339 of our Pakistanis were rescued, and 33 terrorists were sent to hell.
A presentation of 2.5 hours has just been held, after which we went to visit the injured in the hospital. Shahbaz Sharif said that I addressed the officers and men of the Zarar Unit, which has been formed against terrorism, and thanked them from the bottom of my heart on behalf of myself, the government of Pakistan and the 240 million people, and praised their courage, bravery and their bravery. He said that I believe that today we have saved the lives of these innocent Pakistanis from these ruthless beasts, but God forbid, Pakistan cannot afford another such accident, for this we all have to contribute together, the government of Balochistan, the leaders of Balochistan, the people of Balochistan and the provinces of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the federal government have to contribute together. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that I will fully appreciate the performance of the Balochistan Chief Minister’s government. Until the development and prosperity of Balochistan is at par with the rest of the provinces, I want to say without any fear of contradiction that it will not be the development of Pakistan, there will be no prosperity of Pakistan. He said that in the same way, until terrorism is completely eliminated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, peace cannot be established in Pakistan. Shahbaz Sharif said that terrorism was eliminated in 2018 and 80,000 Pakistanis had to sacrifice their lives, the economy suffered a devastating loss of $ 30 billion and Nawaz Sharif was the Prime Minister at that time, this peace was established with the great sacrifices of the Pakistani armed forces and the sacrifices of ordinary citizens.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that why did this plague raise its head again? His head had been crushed, this is a question that has been raised many times, without going into any point scoring, if I say it is not wrong that those who have a heart-to-heart relationship with the Taliban and do not tire of telling, they have released thousands of Taliban again, even the most despicable characters have been released, at present, the soldiers and officers of the Pakistani army are making sacrifices day and night in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, and those young officers are saving millions of children from becoming orphans by orphaning their children.
Shahbaz Sharif said that I believe that there can be no greater sacrifice for the nation than this, if we do not respect it, then we will be held accountable in this world and in the hereafter. The Prime Minister said that the incident that has happened, the way it was discussed, cannot be put into words, and the way in which our country in the eastern part, which has always been hostile to Pakistan, has eaten up the people of Pakistan living inside the country, the way in which they are spewing poison against Pakistan, has been broadcasted by the neighboring country from its platform. He said that the mind is stunned by the kind of hostility these infiltrators have shown against the country, Pakistan and the people, and the army. By the immense grace of Allah Almighty, Pakistan’s economy has been restored and stabilized in one year. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that where we have reached today, on the one hand, terrorism and on the other hand, they are seriously ridiculed and ridiculed inside and outside Pakistan. There can be no greater hostility towards the country than this. There can be no greater crime against Pakistan than this. Those who invited the Taliban to Pakistan and said that they had broken the chains of slavery and that we had kept 4 million Afghans here and taken care of them. Shahbaz Sharif said that Balochistan has lagged behind in the race for development, I admit it, what are the motivations for this, I will not go into that, we will discuss it. Shahbaz Sharif said that after this, such enemies will rise from within and spread poison against Pakistan, spread poison against the Pakistani army, which is tasked day and night to protect the homeland.
The Prime Minister further said that for 30, 40 years, I have been advocating that the objective conditions of the country are such that politicians and this institution have to run the country, no one can be given a license to our youth to go to the borders and shoot the enemy and become dear to Allah by getting shot themselves, we should spread poisonous propaganda against them, this is unbearable. He said that these sacrifices will not go in vain, the development and prosperity of Pakistan is linked with this, if there is no peace, there will be no development and prosperity.
Shahbaz Sharif said that if we do not eliminate the scourge of terrorism, then the existence of Pakistan may be in danger. If we do not eliminate terrorists, then the journey of peace, development and prosperity that has just begun will be immediately put on hold. The Prime Minister said that 80 billion rupees are spent annually on the Levies in Balochistan, they have not been trained, how much weapons and other equipment do they have? How much intelligence is there, if we invest 80 billion rupees in modern equipment, weapons, artificial intelligence, and establish a new force, the map will change, such a large area of Balochistan and only 33,000 Levies personnel, who do not have any equipment.
He said that I am not blaming anyone, of the 600 billion rupees that went to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, how many CTDs did they build? How many safe cities did they build, how many new forces did they establish? Shahbaz Sharif said that even today we should be conscious, what is done is done, now we have to move forward, the way to do this is that the political leadership of the entire Pakistan should sit down and those who love Pakistan, who pray day and night for the prosperity and development of Pakistan, and also strive day and night. He said that we will sit down and discuss what the challenges are, in my opinion the biggest challenge is that we should have had complete agreement on this, which unfortunately is lacking.
The Prime Minister said that I want to tell the entire nation that I will provide them with as many resources as they want, I will also demand from the province, we have to carry this burden together. Shahbaz Sharif further said that the incident that happened the day before yesterday is a stain on the name of Baloch culture, and of course the group of terrorists will adopt any tactic that can create division among the people of Pakistan, God forbid. At this time, the greatest need is national unity. The more unity and solidarity there is among us, the more courageously and with such commitment the Pakistani forces will eliminate these terrorists as soon as possible. He said that if anything is needed more than before, it is national unity and solidarity. We will continue to do our own politics, but on this one issue, that we have to be united to save the country from the scourge, this tribulation and this terrorism, I will also call a meeting with advice. Director General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has said that the hostage passengers of the Jafar Express have been rescued and all 33 terrorists have been killed, however, before the operation began, the terrorists’ martyred 21 civilians. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that on March 11, at around 1 am, terrorists blew up the railway track in the Osipur area of Bolan Pak. The Jafar Express train was coming there. According to railway officials, there were 440 passengers in the train.
He said that this is a difficult area, the terrorists first used the hostages as human shields, including women and children, the rescue operation was started immediately, in which the army, air force, frontier corps and SSG personnel participated. DG ISPR said that the hostages were released in stages, these terrorists remained in touch with their facilitators and masterminds in Afghanistan through satellite phones during the operation, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said that first the forces’ snipers killed the suicide bombers, then they cleared the bogie by bogie in stages and all the terrorists present there were killed and their total number is 33, no innocent passenger was harmed during the clearance operation, but the number of passengers who fell victim to the terrorists’ brutality and were martyred before the clearance operation is 21.
