KARACHI (Big Digit) Karachi Water and sewerage problems remain unresolved in Karachi West. The Deputy Commissioner Karachi West forwarded citizen complaints against KWSB to the Managing Director, but no action has been taken. According to letter number DC/ADC-II/K/W/7421/2025, twenty two complaints were received through the Karachi Commissioner Complaint Portal from residents of Orangi Town, Rizvia and other areas. Citizens highlighted water shortages, blocked sewerage and persistent negligence of KWSB staff. Residents say the situation has become serious while public representatives of the PTI MQM and Pakistan Peoples Party remain inactive. Conditions in New Mianwali Colony UC 14 are worse. The area is a commercial hub, yet administrative neglect has created constant problems. Traffic disorder, encroachments and failed sanitation have made the area difficult for residents. The main sewerage drain is blocked. Wastewater from Quarry Colony, Iqbal Nagar, Banarasi Mohalla, Awan Colony, Hasan Zai and Gilgiti Mohalla collects in the area. Encroachments on the drain and staff negligence have worsened the situation. Students, worshippers and shoppers are all suffering. Residents demand immediate action, removal of encroachments, complete cleaning of the drain and restoration of traffic and sanitation management.
