Islamabad (Big Digit)— 24 New Dengue Cases Reported in Islamabad, Anti-Dengue Operations Intensified
The District Health Office Islamabad has released the latest update on the dengue situation and preventive measures.

In the past 24 hours, 24 new dengue cases were reported, including 16 from rural areas and 8 from urban areas. Fifteen patients were admitted to hospitals. With these, the total number of confirmed cases this season has reached 410. All cases have been responded to in line with WHO protocols.

As part of anti-dengue measures, residual spraying was carried out at 20 affected households, while fogging operations were conducted at 101 sites. A total of 9,105 positive larvae sites have been eliminated, and 41,642 dengue prevention activities have been completed so far.

Vector control teams of the District Health Office and the Directorate of Health Services CDA/MCI are continuing operations across high-risk areas. The district administration has also imposed fines and taken legal action against those violating SOPs.

The health office has urged citizens to take preventive steps, particularly ensuring regular cleaning of water containers, tanks, and coolers, to curb the spread of dengue and protect public health.
